Flying and Claustrophobia?

I don't like to fly. As soon as I step on the plane and the doors close I get very anxious and my heart starts to race and my throat feels like it is closing up. Actually it starts a few days before the flight and gets worse on the drive to the airport. I have noticed that I only have this trouble on planes and sometimes in a car but only at night when I feel closed in. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what do you do about it?

You need to see a dr. and get an Rx for anti-anxiety drug like xanax or valium. Take prior to boarding, you should be fine. I can't get on a plane without it. Smooth flying with it.
