Margarita mix

I would love to make Margaritas with my Bon Voyage liquor and was wondering if anyone has taken Margarita mix (59+ oz) in carry on? I know each person is allowed a 12 pack of 20 oz - are they strict on this rule? Leaving out of Galveston port. Have tried Baja Bob's powdered mix, but I really like the liquid (preferably Jose Cuervo) better.

I'd say you have a 50-50 chance of getting it on~ I think they are more concerned with whether or not there is alcohol in it~ I'd risk it or you could always call BV and see if they offer Margarita mix~

When we sailed out of New Orleans on Triumph, we had ordered Tequila through Bon Voyage and brought on the margarita mix. We packed it in our luggage and when it arrived, the mix was not in it. I went to Guest Services and explained to them that I had purchased the tequila through Bon Voyage. The guy went into the back room to check for it and low and behold, he gave it back to me!!

I have brought Baja Bob's margarita mix, 1.75 ltr in my carry on with no problems.

 

This time I am bringing the Baja Bob's Powdered mix.

I have the singles! They are pretty good too. I sampled last weekend.

I called Bon Voyage the other day just to ask what mixers they have, and they do not have margarita mix. BTW, Baja Bob's Mai Tai mix (not powder) is very good.
