LLH - Latesaver two bedded cabin

Hello.

New to Fred Olsen and have just booked a cruise leaving in a couple of weeks.

As not much choice in cabins to prebook - decided to chance it with a latesaver booking... Not really fussed where we end up..

Booking agent said we would be allocated cabin at check in ...?

Anyone with any idea of how these actually work, much appreciated - have done GTY's on other cruise lines but always had cabin allocated about a week before we sail.

Thanks

I believe Fred. Olsen wait to see how many latesavers there are and how many last-minute cancellations or "no-shows" before they allocate cabins. They usually offer a grade at time of booking but allocate a specific cabin at check-in.

Sometimes you can get lucky and get a real bargain. There few poor cabins on these ships.

We too have a late saver cabin, only booked yesterday, and we know we have 1st sitting. Last time we cruised we booked as it opened, then found the Late Savers paid considerably less than we did and had just the same accommodation, maybe its better taking pot luck and getting the cruise for less.
