Anyone know about "direct market"travel cruises?

Put this on river cruise post,,but,,in general...if cruise is not offered by a travel agent,,due to company being a "direct market" travel company.,,,is this a safe option,,what exactly does it mean?

Some posters said they d been on Vantage cruises and had good experience,,but sort of leary...

Did check BBB in city where located and has "NO rating",,due to "updating".Any ideas,,,any TA S out there??:confused:

on river section,,mentioned long phone waits,,and hassles with refunds and changes..did you have this too?

 

Will wait till I see update on BBB,,,think I may just stick with major lines I ve been on and booked with TA,,,don t like any hassles,,or worries...to save a little money.
