lucyinthesky111 Posted November 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I know, I know, I am going on a cruise and shouldn't worry about watching television. But....... I am a "Walking Dead" junkie. It is the only thing that I really take time to watch. Can anyone tell me if Carnival gets AMC on TV? I don't have a DVR, because I really don't care about anything else that is on TV, and I always seem to get a break in my life at 9 pm on Sundays, to watch it. It won't be the end of the world if I can't watch it, I will just watch it online when I get home. But I would so love to watch it on vacay!! And yes I was a "Lostie" too!! :p If you are going to post hate, then save it for someone else. Remember what they say about opinions. If you have the answer to my question then "Thank you so much!!!"

cruisinJenF Posted November 10, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Don't they usually re-run the previous week before the new one? Hopefully you can catch the rerun when you get back. I LOVE Walking Dead!!!!
lucyinthesky111 Posted November 10, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Me too!! I am buying the books to read while I am on the cruise, because I can't stand not knowing what is going to happen. They are following the novels, somewhat, but not completely. The last time I was a slave to the tv was when Lost was on. But it ended, so I had to find something else to take an hour a week!! :D Have you seen "Being Human"? It is a pretty decent show, but with so long in between seasons, I have kind of lost interest. The same thing almost happened with Lost, but as the new season would come on, I would always come back. I wish I could watch movies, but I can rarely keep still for a full 2 hours. Usually have to watch them in incriments. So waiting so long between seasons, for me is bad. I lose interest quickly!! Oh........ squirrel!!:D
MagSeven1413 Posted November 10, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Just off the Legend last week, and we had CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX. I think 2 of the stations were from Buffalo and 2 from Miami. However at times, we were getting Canadian feeds for those networks. We also had 2 news channels that I think were CNN and CNN International. The Discovery Channel didn't show regular programming but specific show without commercials. On our last sea day (college football Saturday) Carnival had satellite network issues and all 4 networks were off until late afternoon/early evening. Rockportgirl Posted November 10, 2011 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I LOVE The Walking Dead! That, Dexter, Revenge and Parenthood are my must-sees, and I thank GOD for DVR every day... lol. I don't know if they have AMC on the ship, but I understand your need to see it- I personally think having even just one show you love is worth having DVR- I love getting up at 5 in the morning, having coffee and watching my shows- and no commercials! And are they ever gonna find Sophia??
CasualGeek Posted November 10, 2011 #10 Share Posted November 10, 2011 1. Walking Dead is a great show. 2. Think you are out of luck on finding AMC onboard. 3. Two choices...they reshow it multiple times during the week, might be able to catch it when you get home. or Amazon/iTunes download. (I could mention torrents...but I won't :) )

But in the books, Carl gets shot in the eye and survives. Shane gets killed but when Rick goes back to the grave he has ressurected. And someone else gets shot and killed but then comes back as a zombie, without being bit, proving that it is not transmitted only by bite. Oh yeah, and Lori has a little girl, but then is killed, the little girl survives. But they have already deviated away from the books, but I have more I can tell you about the book, if you don't mind the spoiler.:D
Rockportgirl Posted November 10, 2011 #13 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Wow. That's a lot to take in... So is Lori's daughter Shane's or Rick's? No, don't tell me. Okay, yes, tell me. No, wait. Don't.... :p That's why I love this show, I have no idea what to expect. I love it! :)

Blurgh Posted November 10, 2011 #18 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Princess can get anything but alot of the ships don't have sports bars and don't have TV's in the casinos, so it's totally pointless. On the Pride, I thought the TV selection was pretty decent, it was all of the US majors, US ESPN/ESPN 2 (but not in the cabins), most if not all of the Turner channels including CNN/HLN/TBS/TNT/Cartoon... etc, USA, and a couple I don't remember. MagSeven1413 Posted November 10, 2011 #19 Share Posted November 10, 2011 Have they upgraded the tvs to flat screens yet on Legend? Ours wasn't upgraded to a flat screen yet. To be honest, I didn't think to ask others from my roll call about theirs. I'll post on our roll call thread to see if anyone even paid attention.
