Car Rental Port Canaveral

Thinking of renting a car from Thrifty/Dollar - but the rental car place is not open when we would want to return the car - has anyone had experience with this in Cape Canaveral - how do you (and how much does it cost) get back to the ship after returning the car (if you can do an after-hours return)? TIA

hi we rented a car from thrifty dollar after the cruise to drive to Orlando and stay on Idrive a few nights -- there was a shuttle that picked u up right from the cruise terminal and brought you to the rental place-- only bad part is we has to wait 3 hours!! for a car because they ran out of cars even though we had it reserved!!! Soo i would give them a call and maybe the shuttle will take you back to the cruise terminal?

When we rented from Thrifty in January, they had a contract with a local cab company for after hour drop offs.

 

I would call to confirm this before leaving town.
