Will in sunny FL Posted November 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Hi We were in Grand Cayman last week & noticed that the bench had been removed at the Paradise restaruant where snorkelers used to sit but my wife did snorkel & nothing was said. Does anyone know if the free snorkeling policy has changed there ? We are returning in late December and are curious if this is still allowed. Thanks ! TurtleTagger Posted November 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Don't know, but doubt it. If so, just head up the road to Eden Rock Dive Center and use their ladders.;)
Will in sunny FL Posted November 22, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Thanks, but we did walk up there & saw their sign which was a total price for snorkel gear & access into the water. From that, we assumed that there had to be some cost of going in the water there ? Thanks. Bill in FL

Thanks. Bill in FL There's a cost for gear rental. If you have your own gear, you can just get in the water and snorkel. That applies to both Paradise Restaurant and Eden Rock, where my DH has snorkelled dozens of times. :D If you want to use the facilities, like the washrooms or seating, it's generally required to be a "customer" of the establishment, either by renting gear or a locker, or by buying something.
