khai island and rang yai island Phuket Thailand

hi i am thinking of doing an excursion from the SS Virgo out of Phuket that takes in snorkeling at Khai island then lunch and relaxation at Rang Yai, my question is -has anyone been to these two islands?. did you think it was worth going?

if you did it via a speedboat tour from phuket how long did you have for snorkeling at Khai Island ? how long at Rang Yai for lunch and lazing?

could you snorkel at Rang Yai?

did you have to get in and out of the speed boat in the water? (except at phuket of course) would you consider this difficult or was it an easy step up and down (we are overweight and not particularily athletic)

any information you can remember would be very helpful
