PyeDog Posted April 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2005 We'll be on the ship 12/05 and I wonder: How is the Portofino's restaurant? Do they rent skates for the inline track on the top deck? How are the hairdryers? We're in an inside cabin. How is the ride? I assume pretty smooth for such a big ship...we're toward the back How is it tendering off with so many passengers? Is it true there are no clocks in the rooms....someone posted that & I wonder if theirs was just missing? Which activities (on the ship) are must dos? Any other general information? TrentS Posted April 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2005 Portofino is great! The skates are provided free, both inline and ice. Hairdryers in the cabins are weak. The ride is very good, it takes a lot to get them going. December is usually a pretty calm time of year though. No clocks in the cabins, bring a small travel alarm. Must do's - Don't miss the ice show (you have to have tickets, but they're free and passed out at a time listed in your Cruise Compass), go to the parades in the Royal Promenade. The shows in the main theatre are great, go early so you don't miss the "Kruise Komics" show before the show. The Explorer is an AWESOME ship!!! Whatever you do you'll have fun!
