Cartangena vs Seville (Spain)

YES!! Cartagena is ok to get off and stroll around for a couple of hours, Seville has all the charm and character you could wish for.

Your stop for Seville will probably be Cadiz, (unless it's a very small ship). From there it's an hour or so to Seville. But even if you stayed in Cadiz, it's nicer than Cartagena.

Angel, you'd better look at a map of Spain. Cartagena is a Mediterranean port in the southeast quadrant of Spain, while Seville is not a port city, being that it's about 30 miles inland. For tours to Seville most cruise ships stop at Cadiz which IS a port, on the Atlantic in the southwest quadrant.

Cadiz is much nicer then Cartegena. The beaches (and shopping) are excellent. Seville, as already stated is much further inland but cruise companies sometimes advertise the stop off as Seville rather than Cadiz. There's not much at Cartegena, although it's pleasant enough. Cadiz is lovely.
