QM2 (Westbound) - cabin question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I will book our first cruise on QM2 the next days (in fact already made a reservation) for the voyage from Hamburg to New York starting May 20th 2012.

I (think I) want a B2 cabin and got a reservation for cabin #5155. Looking at the cabin plan it seems the cabin is very close to the elevators ...

Is this a disadvantage (regarding noise)?

Regarding the approach of NYC ... Does it matter on which side of the QM2 the cabin (with balcony) is?

Any advice?

Thanks!

Elevator noise won't be a problem, but I've felt and heard vibration from the engines in that area, back by the C Lifts, since the exhaust lines run just inboard of the passageways about there. Sorry but I can't be precise about which staterooms appear to have more vibration since we usually have a forward room between A and B.
