How to check if upgrades are available?

My family of 6 are booked on the Carnival Dream on 12/17/2011. My brother is in the military and was on duty we just found out that he is now able to go with us on our Christmas Cruise!!!! :) When we booked his room yesterday my TA did a guarantee room (only thing available). Carnival assigned his room yesterday and he is in Cabin 2359 on the Main Deck. Is there anyway to see if there is a upgrade available? The rest of the family is on Verandah. He is willing to pay a little more.

Any info will help! Thanks!!!

All of the inside cabins on your sailing are sold out. Right now since you are pretty close to sailing everything is pretty booked up. Verandah deck is sold out of balcony cabins.

Looks like you may be out of luck but make sure your TA has a note that if anything does become available to notify you.

Thank your brother for his service and have a great cruise.

You can do a ghost booking and see if there are any cabins available, or call your TA to check for you. Since guarantees were the only thing available that indicates the ship is full or close to full so there is not likely anything to upgrade to.

The only thing available right now are OV ($1598) and BL ($1698) and if he has to pay a single supplement, then that is just way too much money.........any possibility to add him as a 3rd in someone elses cabin?

We never spend all that much time in our cabins anyway, so it really doesn't matter how spread apart we are.

We have cruised with family and friends and found it really did not make that much difference whether the rooms were together or scattered all over the ship. We go to our own rooms to sleep etc, but most of the time we are someplace else on the ship doing something fun.

Enjoy your cruise!

No per person based on two per cabin the poster said 1598 inside plus single which is not correct 1598 is the single supplement price.
