SpeakerOfMind Posted April 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2005 I'll be Elite on my next cruise (woo hoo!)... but I'm curious: Does the minibar setup include a few tiny airline-type bottles, or larger ones? Also, if my online preferences say I only drink vodka, will it include 3 bottles of vodka as opposed to, say, 1 Gin, 1, Rum, 1 Vodka? I usually order a "gift" of a bottle through the Princess gift area, so it's in my room when I arrive... so I just want to see if I still need to do that. Murphey Posted April 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2005 Yes, they are small airline type bottles, plus beer and water. when you get to your cabin and it is not stocked to your liking you can have it changed anyway you'd like by calling room service. You can exchange for all beer, or all vodka, or any combo you prefer. Yes, we have our preferences on the cruise personalizer, but that info never seems to reach the ship. Enjoy the Elite benefits, we think they're great!!!!!!!!!
BJS Posted April 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2005 Agree with Murphy and our mini bar has never been stocked with anything other than their standard set up as mentioned. There is also several cans of regular soda included. Just for fun we priced out what we received with the 15% gratuity added, if you'd ordered it yourself, and it was over $55.00. Will depend on the ship how fast they will come and re-stock to your liking. Has ranged from 1/2 hour after boarding until "turn down" time. Enjoy! AliceS Posted April 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2005 They did follow our preferences, sort of. We did have all vodka, but no diet coke and they changed it ASAP. It was great. I had to find the lime for the vodka and tonic. We actually left some os the stuff for the cabin steward. He liked the beer. I loved the laundry. We are so looking forward to not overpacking for Europe in June. I will send everything to be pressed and then done up every other day. That way you don't have to bring the kitchen sink.
