Princess - Do I need to register to bring my 1yo

We will be utilizing the option on Princess to bring our 1 yo to the kids club and play with him there. My question is whether I have to register him on the first day like I would for a child that is going to be left there? If not, is there any reason to go to the kid's club during the open hours on the first day?

Between checking on dining, getting lunch, and getting a nap in before muster drill and then heading to dinner we are going to have a lot on our schedule and I'm wondering if I need to include the kid's club or if we can skip it until we use it.

You do not have to register them on the first day. On the last cruise we took with our teens, it was several days into the cruise before they decided to check out the teen club. We had no problem registering them at that time.

Thanks.
