I'm looking for the NOLA airport park n cruise info

I am sure I've seen it on here. The hotels in the french qtr for 11/24/12 are all blacked out, for parking. Its some big football game.

If no one knows of another place other than fulton street for $12, any ideas?

 

Best (only) hotel I can find is Holiday Inn Metainne for $174, which seems too much to much.

 

Surely there is a cheaper option?

Any locals who can suggest a hotel along the street car line? that would allow cruise parking?

 

btw I did book with stay123 site and they called the next day and said holiday Inn superdome had cancelled my booking I made with them... and suggested the further holiday inn metaire for $174 after I had booked at the $148 rate with parking for HI Superdome.

 

Every hotel Iv contacted gives me the same thing .. no parking this week.

The Bayou Classic football game which is Southern University (Baton Rouge) vs. Grambling (northern LA) is always Thanksgiving weekend. Since both universities are in LA, most people drive in for the game which is why you are having difficulty with parking. Hotels will be expensive & the lots will be full. I suggest calling hotels (check other threads to see which hotels offer cruise parking) and tell them you are going on a cruise and see if they can accommodate you. You always have the port lots and Fulton St. as back-ups.

How much do they charge for shuttling you to and from the pier?

I was just hoping for a better solution.

 

I have two booked Holiday Inn for $164 cruise package, the one out by the airport, with happy hour and breakfast included. Mariott, Convention Center for $159, if they dont cancel it on me.

 

Holiday Inn include free shuttle both directions, to and from the port too.

 

If Mariott honors the booking, then I will cancel the one with Holiday Inn, since I would strongly prefer staying in the french qtr area.
