Cruzntime Posted December 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2011 Does anyone know if Bayside Riding Club is still open in St. Martin? If so, is this still the "go-to" place for horseback riding?

We used this company: http://luckystables.shoreadventures.net/ Had a really nice 2 hour ride, and then a quick swim in the ocean (with horses) to cool off at the end. I would do it again. Thought I might try lucky stables in March! I honestly don't know, another cruiser would be better to ask for this. The time I did this, I flew into the island, it was not a cruise. I don't remember it being far from the cruise port, but can't say for sure. Adam
Gregg00ss Posted January 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2012 I have reservations with them for our cruise in 3 weeks, I'll let you know the condition of the horses. According to their webstie expect about a 30 min ride from the port. Doesn't seem to be too far from the port using Google Earth, but traffic seems to be the big factor on the island. They actually limit bookings in order to not overwork the horses, which was also a good sign to me. I had no complaints, nor saw any signs of mishandling or neglect while I was there. Adam Thanks so much, I used to raise quarter horses and just love ALL horses! The pictures look like the horses are having fun too! I think I am going to book! Thanks everyone, and I would love to hear how your ride goes in the next 3 weeks! Have fun!
Cafabi Posted January 25, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 25, 2012 But is Bayside still open? There website has been down for some time. They are (were) closer to the area where we'll be, but I can't find any info about reservations.
Blessedcruiser Posted January 25, 2012 #10 Share Posted January 25, 2012 This came from Lucky Stables yesterday: Hello Joyce, We're glad you are asking about our tour. The fastest and easiest way to book our tour is to go to our website www.shoreadventures.com , click on "My Adventures" and register, click on St. Maartin, then click on Lucky Stables. You book your tour by clicking "Add to my adventures". Make your selection of the tour you want and also place the number "0" in the box next to the tours you don't want. You will receive confirmation within 24 to 48 hours. Once you have received our confirmation, your credit card will be charged a deposit of 20% and the balance will be paid when you arrive. Gregg00ss Posted January 27, 2012 #12 Share Posted January 27, 2012 I have a rental car reserved, so not sure. There is a website somewhere that lists taxi rates for the island. Seemed cheaper to rent a car then get a taxi if you wanted to do a little site seeing around the island.
