Lol, yes infact he looks AMAZING !!

 

We've had a bit of fun with this whole Formal Night thing... (too bad more folks don't get into the spirit)

 

He imagines himself now quite the James Bond (ala Sean Connery) and has embraced the idea of us having a very special night on this cruise... we are in our 50s and 60s, kids are grown and gone, and although we travel quite a bit, occasions where we dress up are well... not something that happen. We go out to eat in some fine restaurants often enough, but always in smart casual attire (him typically a golf shirt and dockers)

 

So this will be a real special event for us... plan is he will dress first and then head to the Martini Bar (lol, "Shaken not Stirred") while I finish dressing in the cabin... in an outfit that he hasn't seen before... (have decided to go long gown for the Captain's Dinner ~ First Formal Night)

 

Then will surprise him in the Martini Bar... I expect to WOW him totally !!

 

This whole experience has been really fun in the planning, makes us feel like we are first "dating" again... keeping what I am wearing from him, has certainly sparked that for me.

 

Should be a very romantic evening... and so out of the ordinary for the two of us. Looking forward to it... with some dancing and souvenir photos thrown into the mix too !!

We and our friends really enjoy Formal nights and I think your plan is very original and romantic!! You will find a mix of Tux's and dark suits for men and we are lucky to have lots of choices, gowns, cocktail dresses, slacks with sparkly tops:D Please have a Chocolate Martini for me and have fun;) Probably a good idea for him to go down early and hold a spot for you - that place gets really hopping:)
