partygirl43 Posted December 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Is Club Soda part of the 'beverge plan'? Or is it free because it is just bubbly water. I switched from drinking alot of diet coke to club soda. I need my bubbles!!!! Thanks;)
Claudia2002 Posted December 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2011 I have the same question (and for the same reason) too. Do they charge for club soda?
txstarla Posted December 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Me three! I drink club soda or sparkling water... does anyone know if it is free? Sailing on the Magic in January...
ptcruzers Posted December 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2011 I'm just thinking because it has the word "soda" in club soda that you may have to purchase a soda pass. I have not bought one in years but I am guessing $30.00 for a one-week cruise, or about $1.75 per glass if purchased individually.:D:D
B and C Blake Posted December 16, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Club soda is soda not bubbly water. It contains carbonation. Therefore it is part of the bottomless bubbles program. Sparkling water is sold by the bottle. Carnival Cruise Lines will offer all guests the option to purchase a “Bottomless Bubbles” unlimited soda program which will allow the guest unlimited soft drinks and juices for the duration of the cruise at a one-time purchase price. Prices are as follows – a 15% gratuity will be added (subject to sales tax if purchased prior to sailing). Child Rate Per Day $4.50 (17 years of age and younger) Adult Rate Per Day $6.00 (18 years of age and older) Upon purchasing the “Bottomless Bubbles” unlimited soda program, a sticker will be placed on the guest’s Sail & Sign card. “Bottomless Bubbles” can be purchased at the ship’s Casino Bar and Pool Bar. In all areas where beverage service is offered, guests may show the “Bottomless Bubbles” sticker and receive a glass of the carbonated soft drink of their choice. Juices may also be requested. One 16 ounce glass will be served at a time and only to the guest whose name appears on the Sail & Sign card with the “Bottomless Bubbles” sticker attached. · The “Bottomless Bubbles” unlimited soda program is non-transferable and may not be shared. Guests or family members who would like to enjoy soft drinks through this program must purchase their own sticker. · One beverage serving, per sticker, will be served at a time. · Soft drink is served by the glass (16 ounces); juice is served by the glass (10 ounces). · The program cannot be used through room service or the Interactive TV system, where applicable, or the minibar, where applicable. · The program can be used in Half Moon Cay. · Note: The following beverages are available in the Lido Deck Restaurant, 24/7 and are complimentary: Coffee; Hot Tea; Hot Chocolate; Lemonade; Unsweetened Iced Tea. jiggs Posted December 16, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2011 since it comes from behind the bar, I'm going to say its part of the soda plan. the only other 'free' item coming out from behind a bar is ice water from the bar sink. If you want club soda get a fountain card. As for sparkling, like pierre, plan to pony up per serving.

txstarla Posted December 16, 2011 #9 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Even bottled non bubbly water is not free. Of course! I pay for bottled water/perrier in a bar, but quite frequently club soda is free. I think that is why we were asking... or at least I was.
rainbowflag Posted December 16, 2011 #10 Share Posted December 16, 2011 I was charged $2.50 (including tip) on the Spirit in the comedy club for a plain club soda with lime. I asked the waiter to leave the can. He was happy to.:)

I have never seen it free anywhere Ive gone. its same as soda because its comes like a soda, plus the 15% tip, same price.
kroozers Posted December 16, 2011 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2011 In a bar with bag in box barguns, club soda is just tap water charged with CO2 right out of the gun. It costs the bar basically the same as a glass of ice water. On the ship, since it comes from a can there is a cost associated with it - they have to buy it by the case.
