Beach close to pier?

We are on Celebrity Silhoette leaving in a week and trying to get ideas for each port. We are very budget oriented and would like to go to a beach not too far from the port. Do you have to take a taxi or can you walk? Thanks for any help on this! So much to do and so little time......:D

This is the beach a the end of the pier. It not great but it is close and there are restrooms there. Not very many people there. Used it in March it works. There is a sidewalk in front of the fort. To the right of the dock you can get Caribe beer for $3.00 each.
