signora Posted December 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2011 We are looking into a tour that snorkels off a boat somewhere near Bannister. Anyone have experience on the reefs around there? Is it much better to snorkel off Caye Caulker?
clackey Posted December 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2011 We are looking into a tour that snorkels off a boat somewhere near Bannister. Anyone have experience on the reefs around there? Is it much better to snorkel off Caye Caulker? We have done both. Both are nice but I would do the Bannister trip. Cay Caulker is alright but I don't like the water taxis, especially since they merged. We almost missed the water taxi on our last trip and it was the last one before our last tender to the ship. My wife was a nervis wreck. This was a do it yourself trip. If I wanted to do it again I would book thru a reputable local company like Coral Breeze if they offer this trip. signora Posted December 30, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Thanks for the advice! That sounds definitely wise. The Bannister trip is through Coral Breeze and includes snorkeling and a manatee watch. I think that's what we'll do--thanks again! --Amy
lgonquin Posted December 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Coral Breezes also offers a stingray/shark/Cay Caulker snorkeling tour. Check their website. Sent from my ATRIX using Tapatalk
