pugsbest Posted April 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2005 4 of us are cruising the NCL Wind in August. We have found very reasonable limo services on Oahu and Maui (still working on Kauai). Now I need to figure out what we would want to see! Oahu- Having limo pick us up at airport and take us out the Pali highway to the Nuuanu Pali lookout and up the Windward Coast to view the scenery and hopefully check out the "Valley of the Temples," then have them drop us off at the ship. Does anyone know approximately how long this would take with only very short photo ops and a little longer for a quick look around the Byodo-in Temple and grounds? We have booked the limo for 3 hours. Maui- We do not want to do Hana (too far)or Haleakala(2 have altitude issues). We also don't want to pay for a limo to sit in the parking lot of places while we take tours. Are there any scenic drives anyone could suggest? Otherwise we will just rent a car. Kauai- Any suggestions? Thanks, Julie
spleen93 Posted April 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Julie - for Oahu, 3 hours will be more than enough to cover the distance you want to cover. If you have time, have the limo take you back to the ship going around the Blowhole/Sandy Beach area (on Kalanianaole Highway) ... even more viewing opportunities! Jeepsterchick Posted April 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Just curious, What limo Company are you using? Thanks!
pugsbest Posted April 12, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 12, 2005 We are using Royal Pacific Limo Service on Oahu. They charge $75 for the roundtrip transfer and $130 for the 3 hour tour. Those prices are per limo NOT per person. We decided not to do the limo in Maui, but here's the link to the web site: http://hawaiiansuntravel.com/RatesFlyer.html
