I'm planning a renewal in October, but I'm going to do this in Cozumel off the Carnival Triumph. On the ship, I would like a 2 hour reception with drinks, hor d'oeuvre's, DJ and cake. Has anyone been able to book this?

I sent an email a few days ago but have not received a reponse yet. I'm not even sure if it's possible for me to do this. Thanks!:)

I was told by Carnival that you can only book a "reception" if you have a wedding through Carnival.

 

Someone on this forum said you can do it without booking the wedding through them, you just need to talk to the right person at Carnival.

 

I think you can book "cocktail" parties (just don't tell them it's a reception I guess) but don't know how that works and if you can book a dj and cake with them...

There is a Special Events department, separate from the weddings department at Carnival. I would imagine that is who you need to contact to do what you are suggesting.

You can book a reception only package through Carnival, even if you don't have a wedding booked with them. Give them a call and they can provide you with the information you need. I booked a reception only through them.

I called with the exact same question, here was the answer...

 

This price is for up to 20 people

1 hour reception 600.00 additional ppl $22 each

1.5 hour reception 700.00 additional ppl $30 each

2 hour reception 800.00 additional ppl $36 each
