Can you buy a FCC to give to a first time cruiser?

I am booked on the Liberty with my husband next November and as an after thought I decided to bring the kids (19 daughter & 16 son, at cruise time) I am considering putting them in their own room.

I have friends cruising this month. Is it possible for them to buy a FCC for my daughter that i could use on my kids booking? Neither of my above mentioned children have cruised before if that helps.

Another question I have is if i decide to book a quad room and it has 2 uppers, how sturdy are those beds? My son is the size of a grown man and just wanted to make sure the uppers have room for comfortable sleeping and the bed wont collapse on me in the middle of the night.

Any suggestions on traveling with teens is welcome. Thanks

They can only be purchased by one person per state room per cruise and section three of the doc say's they are non-transferable.

The only person that can buy a certificate is the one that can use it.

If you got two certificates-- you coulda put you in one cabin with the spouse in the other and got the two credits that way

If you book your cruise while on board the ship they will give you two vouchers for the OBC to for friends and family on the same cruise.

right .. and it sounds like the OP is not wanting to book the same cruise as his friends .. so this probably wouldnt work in this scenerio.
