Need advice from our Winter Cruisers :)

We're heading to Cozumel in a few days and are thinking of braving the waters and doing the stingray exhibit. Has anyone ever done this in January? If so, are we going to freeze our butts off?

I guess you know there is a reason the snow birds flock to Florida during the winter. The sand is too hot in the summer to walk on, perfect in the winter.

 

Lots of people go swimmnig .. its the time of year for it.

We always cruise in the winter months (January and February) and the only time it was too cool to swim was in the Bahamas during a cold snap.

 

Cozumel will be in the upper 80's to lower 90's in January. Perfect for swimming! :)

It is possible its too cool to swim. I did a 7 day out of Ft. Lauderdale and we had one day temps dropped into the mid 60s, the other 6 days we were 70s and 80s. Unfortunately, the one day it dropped was the private beach. I had a raft (excursion) booked and did a no show and lost the money.

We were in Cozumel on Dec. 27th and the weather was perfect! Highs in the upper 70's, so it was warm but not too hot. The water felt fabulous! Enjoy!!
