Bringing bottled water onboard

BJAMINGIRL

From the Carnival FAQ page on their website:

On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.

So whether you are bringing soft drinks, mixers, or water, these are your restrictions.

You are probably going to get lots of posts about the water on board being fine to drink - and it is. But, we prefer the convenience of water bottles. We always carry on a small amount (used to be able to check a case, but no more) and then when we are in port we often just pick up a pack to bring back. There's always lots of stores in each port that you can buy bottled water to prevent carrying so much in the beginning.
