karen11g Posted April 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2005 We'll be in Costa Maya in mid-July and my youngest would love to do the beach horseback ride with costamayabeachexcursions.com (a one-hour ride through Mahahual and along the beach). I asked the tour company about heat and they said "nice breeze" but suggested an earlier ride. Since the ship doesn't get in until 10 am (ship time, which I think is 9 am, island time:confused: ), we couldn't do a really early ride. There's one at 10 and one at 12 (island time) so I guess we'd have to do the 12? Anybody ahve experience with this in dead of summer? And do I have the times right? Thanks! dna1990 Posted April 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Some folks love horses alot more than I, but CM is gonna be plenty warm in July...horse sweat would only worsen the day. Stick to the beach and water activities. Save the horsebacking for Fall in Virginia or Summer in Wyoming.
karen11g Posted April 13, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 13, 2005 Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. I think my youngest would be the only one (out of five of us) that the heat wouldn't bother. I think we'll pass - there are lots of other options!
