jgmpuma Posted January 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2012 Never stayed there, but it is not a good area of the city. No restaurants to speak of except fast-food joints, and it's 30 minutes or so away from downtown/French Quarter. Unless you are just looking for a place to sleep, look for something downtown. We really don't care what's around the area but want to be safe!
jgmpuma Posted January 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2012 Safety shouldn't be a problem.
Lynda59 Posted January 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2012 I had to look this hotel up - I had never heard of it. It is New Orleans East (I-10 Service Road) - not a good section of town. It was not a good area before Katrina and it still isn't. This area was devastated by Katrina - it took six years to get a grocery store to open there. I would recommend almost anywhere in the city over this area.
