Is there a charge for the steam room/dry sauna on the Crown?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a charge for the basic steam room or sauna on the Crown Princess? We've sailed on the Caribbean Princess, Norwegian and Carnival before and didn't have to pay extra for this. I know they have the sanctuary where they charge $99 per person, or $150 for a couple, for the week, but this seems outrageous if you want to work out and then spend a little time in a steam room. It seems like everything that used to be free is an extra charge these days, very frustrating!

Thanks!

No additional charge. The Sanctuary has a charge, but that is different than the for fee steam room called the Thermal Suite.

The free sauna / steam are in the locker rooms for the gym. They are not co-ed and sometimes you will see nudity. The for fee sauna / steam are co-ed and people wear clothes in them.

There are wet and dry steam rooms in the locker rooms of the Spa, around the corner from the workout Gym. Be warned: In the ladies locker room the wet steam room was super hot and you can only sit inside for a few mins. Also if you left the door open too long the alarm would go off. The dry sauna was more comfortable with heat. We also purchased the Thermal Suite package, which was bliss!
