Review of the Sea

My husband and I, along with another couple

were on the Sea May 1st.

We had been on this ship last year, when

it went out of New York, so we knew what

to expect. We really did not have any problems

with kids, saw a few running around, but

never bothered us.

The entertainment was great! If The Great

Tonsomi, and Stephen Kane are still onboard,

would highly reccommend them. The first is

a very funny magician, kept everyone laughing.

Stephen Kane has a great voice, and puts on

a great show, he has been in several musicals

on Broadway.

When you read about Belize and Roatan being

very poor, they are not kidding.Belive me

you want to hire a guide, or go in a ship

excursion in these two countries.

In Belize we hired Mark Mcfield, got his name

off this board. He did a good job, but the

price he quoted me was higher than the price

given by someone on this board. He charged

$40.oo a person, plus we had to pay our way

into the ruins. He knew a lot about the ruins,

even had maps and some of his drawings to

show us.

One thing I would suggest is if you see something you might want at the little shops

by the Altun Ha ruins, go ahead and buy it, we

waited and went to the National Handicraft

center, and it was higher than at the ruins.

Mark told us that Belize has a very high crime

rate. We went through a police checkpoint,

he told us his friend was shot there two

weeks ago. They waved us right through.

In Roatan we hired Diane with the English Taxi

service, because they speak English. Anyway

for 20.oo a person, she took us all over

the island, and waited while we went to the

beach, then took us shopping. Again, you do

not want to stay in town, there is nothing

to see.

WE took some stuff to Brad at CSI, did

not get to see Brad but did meet Debbie.

She was very sweet, and the kids were so

polite. They were very thankful for all they

get. I found out that there is another

orphanage in Roatan, it is the Baptist orphanage

we did not have time to go to see it.

If anyone wants to be one of the first off

the ship, they now have express disembarktion

You will be the first off, but you have to

carry all your luggage off your self. We both

had 2 suitcases apiece. We made it just fine,

They called for us at 9:15, AND we were off

by 9:30AM. we had a 6 hour drive home, so

was glad we got off when we did.
