Booking past guest vs. early saver

I Think I know the answer but I just wanted to make sure.

If I book past guest I don't get to benefit from price drops after the final payment is made.

If I book early saver I can benefit from price drops even after final payment is made.

Any real benefit to booking past guest other than the upgrades? We were looking at possibly booking an extended or premium balcony on the legend but not sure if it is worth it. Especially if prices could drop in the future.

If you are okay with the rules of ES, ie: losing $50 if you change/cancel cruise, them holding the rest of your deposit, no name changes etc... I would book ES~ if PG happens to be lower right now you can always book ES and then fill out the price protection form and price match to PG.

A benefit in booking PG, is if you think there is a possibility you will cancel or need to make changing that incur a penalty.

As above, Thats the only perk I know of for booking PG.

Dont look for many price drops after final as most room classes that have only a few available will book up and thus no price drops.

Enjoy
