snorkelling on Amadee Island

Has anyone done the Amadee Island day trip which includes snorkelling and if so I would be interested to know wether the snorkelling is from the shore or the boat and how the boat is set up with regard to level of fitness eg. climbing on and off the boat etc.

The boat that takes you out to Amadee docks at a small wharf - you then walk to the various areas on the island - the lighthouse, the lunch and entertainment area or the beach. There are also water craft etc for hire. Snorkeling is from the beach or small flat bottomed boats with easy to climb ladders not the large boat that takes you to the island.
