CruisinD Posted April 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2005 We'll be in London before our cruise and were planning to go to Bath for the day (Saturday May 21). Now I see that there is a big music festival that starts May 20 and goes for about 3 weeks. Does anyone that's familiar know if it will be much too crowded to simply enjoy "Bath" for the day? What about train service - very busy? We'll be with my elderly mother and big crowds would make it more difficult for getting around. She and I were there before but my husband has not been. If too crowded, any other suggestions for a day trip? We've already been to Windsor and Salisbury. Denise
Nickwolf Posted April 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2005 Denise, I have just had a look at the website for the festival and I think you will be fine, there does not appear to be anything happening on that Saturday that will cause massive crowds. HERE is the site if you have not already found it. Nick.
CruisinD Posted April 15, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 15, 2005 Nick, Thanks so much for the reassurance. I am so looking forward to seeing Bath again, and so is my mother. I think my husband will be impressed; it's a beautiful city. Last time we took a hop on/off tour and were in a hurry as we had to get back to London for the theatre, and we actually missed seeing the Roman Baths! This time for sure.
