tee3240 Posted January 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2012 I am thinking of booking the sea lion encounter on Blue Lagoon Island in July. We will be arriving on the NCL Gem. I was wondering if it is better to book directly through NCL or a private company. I know the cost is much less when booking privately. But will we miss "perks", for example better food, more activities, etc if we book directly with NCL? Everyone's thoughts or comments will be much appreciated! Thanks! Best on Bahamas is a reseller.. book directly with the company.. As for "better food".. not gonna happen.. they only have 1 place to eat.. same food offered to all .. same with activities.. check the website for details. www.dolphinencounters.com

I was going to book directly with Dolphin Encounters, but I read on the boards somewhere that they might give me a hard time if they find out I am an NCL passenger because of their contract with NCL. have you heard anything about that? Yes, some cruiselines have exclusive rights. "Best on" is not supposed to book those cruisers either.. but I don't think they even ask. Some people just don't tell them they are on a cruiseship.. Well we just tried booking directly with BL; they wouldn't do it because we are on NCL (the booking form asked which cruise ship and hubby didn't want to lie). So anyway we are booked through NCL-cost quite a bit more though. Oh well! I know our kids will love it!:)
