hnokes Posted January 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hi All... ...and happy Tuesday! We are leaving THIS SATURDAY on the Millenimum!! YAY! Ok, now...we have been to Jamaica and Grand Cayman many times and also bought the drink package on board. All we want to do is catch a taxi and go to the closest beach and experience a few beach bars...catch a few rays and head back to the shopping area for some gifts and then get back on the ship. We DON'T want to get in the taxi cab (being tourists) and tell him to take us to the nicest closest beach and it be a ways out when there were so many closer. So what is the nicest, closest beach to Georgetown that may have a few beach bars and some lounge chairs that we can do on our own without an excursion cost?? Thanks! :D
cb at sea Posted January 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2012 7-mile beach is right there...and there is a bus ($2.50pp) that will take you anywhere along the beach. Don't worry about being a "tourist"! You are...they know it, and they won't treat you badly because of it! All of the public access areas have rentals for chairs/umbrellas/watersport, and restrooms/restaurants/bars....it's a great way to spend the day! Shopping is right across the street from the dock.
