vacationgogo Posted April 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2005 I went back 15 pages looking for the answer to this and I know I have seen it somewhere. I didn't pay much attention at the time because dh and I are not big gamblers. I prepared information packets with loads of information that I gathered from this wonderful site for my friends, with whom I will be traveling. It turns out I did not include any casino information. I know that arrangements that can be made to have charges in the casino put on your room account but do they give you the option of using cash in the casino. I know that cash is not accepted anywhere else on the ship. Sorry to be redundant but I couldn't find the answer elsewhere.

marianneyaya Posted April 16, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2005 Yes...cash goes in...but "vouchers" come out! You have to cash them in at the cashier counter. A silly friend of mine came home with a $35.00 voucher! OOPS! It will make an expensive page in their scrapbook! LOL!
JessLCH Posted April 16, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2005 Can you get cash (to use for extra tips) at the casino cashier and charge it to your onboard account?
johnql Posted April 16, 2005 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2005 Can you get cash (to use for extra tips) at the casino cashier and charge it to your onboard account? Yes. And there's no surcharge added, unlike Princess which charges 3%.
budgetED Posted April 16, 2005 #9 Share Posted April 16, 2005 You certainly can get cash from the casino and put it on your shipboard account. The limit is $1000 a day. I did that 4 times...took $4000 off the ship with me so it can be charged to my shipboard account (I used my NCL Mastercard for the account), and no cash advance fees. I did it to get points (4 points per $100) on my NCL card to accumulate and use for future cruise credits. When I get the credit card bill, I'll just write a check and pay it back. My wife did the same with her card.

LOL! tell your friend that she should check the ticket for an expiration date. if it says a year old or so, she can put it up on eBay and probably get back about 20/25 for it... not a total loss...
