Recommendation for hotel for one night that would be convenient to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal for a cruise departing next September? Also advice about best airport to arrive? Thanks!

your best option would probably be to fly into Laguardia airport. from there you can stay at the laguardia plaza hotel or laguardia marriott. both are across the parkway from the airport and both offer free shuttles to and from the airport. as far as getting to the port, i suggest dial 7's car service. you can check them out at www.dial7.com

Try the Best Western Plus (764 4th Ave). It's less than three miles from the cruise terminal and across the street from access to the metro lines going back into Manhattan should you choose to spend a couple of days prior sightseeing.

There are a few new hotels in Brooklyn

Hotel Le Jolie

Hotel Le Bleu

Nu Hotel

 

And there is a Marriott in downtown Brooklyn. All are a short cab ride away from the port.

 

LaGuardia is the most convenient airport to Brooklyn, a yellow cab from LGA to downtown Brooklyn should be about $23 so keep that in mind if you are reserving a town car.

 

I have friends who have stayed at Le Jolie and really like it, I think the bathroom walls are glass so may not be good if you aren't a couple.

 

I have stayed at the Marriott before my wedding and it was nice (like any Marriott)

 

The other 2, I have no experience with so you'd have to research them.
