Uniworld vs avalon / paris to normandy

Hi there -

 

First of all - welcome to cruise critic....

 

I did post on the other thread (where you asked about Uniworld vs Avalon) - then realized you posted here as well. I just went to both websites and compared itineraries.

 

There is something to be said for both cruises.

 

With Uniworld, Honfleur is included - while it is just an optional with Avalon. We loved our day in Honfleur - and it is well worth the visit. And, it was nice not to have to pay for it.

 

With Avalon, however, you do get Auvers-sur-Oise --> the town where Vincent Van Gogh died, and is buried. If you are a fan of Van Gogh, this is a wonderful tour. It was offered when we did our tour with Uniworld in '08.

 

I reiterate what I said in the other thread... If the itineraries are similar (and they are, except for Auvers-sur-oise with Avalon) then pick the date and price that suits you best.

 

Either way, it should be an amazing trip.
