maritaysa Posted February 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2012 For those of you who have cruised with a 1 year old, would you choose a suite for $1,100 more than what you're paying for a balcony? It just seems like so much more room for DD to be in. She's not walking yet, but I'm sure she would love crawling everywhere. We'll be on the Carnival Splendor and currently have a spa balcony. There are still spa suites available for our cruise. What would you do?
cb at sea Posted February 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2012 There are so many places for you to take baby to move about, I'm not sure I'd spend the extra simply for "crawling space"...but, if it's in your budget, go for it!
Mom2B&Z Posted February 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2012 ITA with cb at sea, $1100 is a lot for some crawling space! Plus if she's a year old she will likely be walking soon. I would put the $1100 into a savings account and buy some cotton gloves and hand sanitizer for the trip ;).
ChickyfromVA Posted February 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2012 We got a mini suite so we can split the room when our son takes a nap. Other than that I think a balcony would do fine.
maritaysa Posted February 4, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted February 4, 2012 Thanks for the posts! I think if the price drops to a more manageable amount, then we may consider it.
mymollysue Posted February 4, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 4, 2012 I don't think it is worth the money. Maybe when they are a bit older and can walk and get into things easier, would I consider a suite with more room.
Colorado Kat Posted February 5, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 5, 2012 I'd stick with the balcony. When she is awake, I doubt you'll be in the room much.
