sltb47 Posted February 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2012 We will be doing the Maple Explorer Cruisetour before our Canada/New England cruise. Will the luggage be handled in the same way as on the Alaska cruisetours? Keeping only a carry-on and your other luggage will be taken to the ship. Will the luggage be handled in the same way as on the Alaska cruisetours? Keeping only a carry-on and your other luggage will be taken to the ship. We did the Maple Explorer/Canada Colonial America combination in 2010 and the luggage was all on the bus. However, we identified one (or two) bags that we wanted each night for the hotel. At the ship they transferred everything to the ship for us. It worked out great. Beautiful tour, great cruise, enjoy!

2little time Posted February 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Thank you so much. We are doing this cruise in Oct. and was wondering about the weather. When did you do it? Fall weather in the NE can be variable. Cool, crisp sunny days and damp, rainy ones as well. Chances are you will have a little of both until you get down around Charleston SC. Nova Scotia is also a little rainy at that time of year as well. It is kind of like Alaska.....luck of the draw.
Talisker92 Posted February 3, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2012 We had all our luggage with us. We did the land excursion first so we could unpack and do laundry on the ship. The schooner ride in Sydney and the Reversing Falls jetboat were really wonderful. We were fogged in in Bar Harbor, so we just had wonderful lobster rolls at the restaurant by the tender landing. We had both been to Boston before, so we just went to the USS Constiution and then had a lobster roll at Legal Seafoods The story and pictures are on our website. We are happy to answer any questions.
