Recommended Posts

Hi,

Going on the destiny May 29th. Already booked the Ritz for 2 days prior but need a nice hotel with spa 2 days after cruise. Is the Ritz ok there. Heard some complaints on another web site?

Any ideas which is upper end and somewhere to veg at. Must have great Spa.

Thanks for your help.

Beverly-

We stayed at the Ritz a day before and a day afterwards and it's beautiful! I would never stay there if we were paying though. They are just waaaayyy overpriced in comparison to the Intercontinental and the Marriott IMO. Drinks are $15 each (Margarita) and breakfast was about $25 each with tip. We were there on rewards, but I can think of alot more places I'd rather be. They really had no excitement there for the evenings and nothing going on around the pool that I consider fun. I'm not a gambler, so the casino didn't interest me. My SO did win about $700 total there in 2 nights.

It would be great for total relaxation though. I did enjoy the Isla Verde area and found some fun places outside the hotel.

I did hear that the Hyatt in Dorado had a nice Spa, but you'd have to do some research, cuz I've never been there personally.

Good Luck!
