I don't have any tips on the Freedom but can share with you a good CC thread that I came across about some cabins to avoid and why.

I hope this helps you out a little. Have a great cruise. :)

We were in a balcony cabin 6252 Upper Deck forward. It was a great location! In general, a very quiet location. However, if you are early to bed, you will hear the music from the main show lounge on deck below. Once we decided to stop back in cabin after dinner while the early show was still in progress and could hear some muffled music. We loved being forward. We enjoyed watching among other things the nervous officers with arms crossed in the wings of the bridge as they had to hold the ship for a late excursion return in Cozumel. We also had the outer bands of Hurricane Rina very quickly approaching us. It was quite incredible how quickly the weather changed from gorgeous sunshine to water spouts!! We loved the Freedom. Except for not going to Panama due to hurricane, it was our favorite ship and cruise thus far!
