jayscore Posted April 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Now that you can't carry a lighter on a plane, can anyone tell me where to buy a lighter after I get off? In the airport past security, or do they sell lighters on board the ship?
RWolver672 Posted April 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2005 You are still allowed to carry four books of matches on your person on the airplanes to get you through until you can find a lighter. The ships do have butane lighters for sale.
sallyb Posted April 17, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2005 When we flew from Orlando to Baltimore on Friday, they were not allowing lighters or matches on the plane. They had signs everywhere.
Runner Girl Posted April 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Can't you pack one in your suitcase?
sallyb Posted April 17, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2005 We only had carry ons for this trip. I hope you can pack something in your checked luggage. We thought it would be nice to have a lighter exchange. Leave your lighter for someone and pick up one when you arrive from someone else. Some one was kind enough to give us a lighter because they were leaving and couldn't take it with them.
lisaluvscruising2004 Posted April 17, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2005 Can't you pack one in your suitcase? No, you cannot put lighter in checked baggage due to the possibility of it exploding during the flight. I figured I would just bring 1 or 2 books of matches and then buy a cheap lighter for the cruise. I do really like the idea of a lighter swap off. :)
