Ten die in bus crash en route to cruise

A bus carrying 28 Swiss citizens to embark on a Costa cruise from Savona went off the road in severe weather conditions caused by a heavy snowfall en route to the Gran San Bernardo tunnel under the Alps, in Switzerland.

Ten of the tourists lost their lives while the others were injured and taken to hospitals.

 

It's not clear whether the bus transfer had been organised by travel agents or by the cruise operators. A spokesman for Costa Crociere could not be reached.

Wow, I heard about the crash (God bless them), but had no idea they were en route to a Costa cruise! :o
