Tell Me About Divi Beach

XLRATION

Recommended Posts

We are currently deciding on activities for our upcoming port stop in St. Martin and are considering a beach day at Divi Beach.

We would like others input on this beach and their experiences while they were there.

First is it a clean, calm water beach since we have young kids?

Are there washrooms, food and drink available along the beach?

How is the snorkling?

How frequently do the ferries run between the port and the beach or is it an easy walk around?

Any other input and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we are debating on Orient again but the last time we were there the water was a bit wavy and may have been too much for our kids to handle or enjoy.

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Yes for young kids.

Yes for calm and clean.

Yes for bathrooms, chair rentals, and availability of food and drinks.

(heard) Yes for decent snorkeling by the rocks to the left when facing the water.

No for ferries available and it would be a long walk, too far for young children.

IMO this is a nice beach for a couple of hours. It makes for an easy add on to another excursion or in conjunction with shopping or lunch in town.

I would suggest that you look into Le Galion beach but not if snorkeling is important for your visit.

Are there any beach bars at Divi? Or any particular places you recommend to rent chairs from? Our plan is to go to Marigot in the AM and hit a beach closer to the port in the afternoon, but one that is a little quiter than Great Bay. I thinking Divi would work for this.

Thanks,

Jamie

Wise choice. Great bay has had pollution issues for years we haven't swam in there since 2006.

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will work for us.

Yes you can just use the beach. You have to pay to park if you have a rental, and you can not use the pools but everything else looks like you can use.
