Single Night Life on the Sky in May...

Well first off let me start by saying that I have been reading hundreds of posts and threads and trying to get an idea of what to expect. I am not at all new to cruising but I have only been on NCL once and it was only a 1 night cruise to nowhere.

Aaaanyway, I am going to be on the Sky on 5/18 for a 3 night Bahamas cruise. My best friend and I are just using this as a getaway cuz life has been hectic for us lately, so we are literally going into this with the intention of just relaxing on the Bahamian beaches, buuuuut we are both 29 year old single and attractive guys. And my question is this......what is the nightlife like on board an NCL ship headed to the Bahamas? Are there typically a lot of "younger" adults? Single women? Are the bars fun/wild/anything worth attending? Are the Bahamas a Spring Break kinda atmosphere or more like a Bermuda type of atmosphere.

I apologize if these questions are out of place or out of line, but we are just curious. We will have fun no matter what, but just trying to get a better grasp on what to expect. Thanx to anyone who even reads this and thanx even more to anyone who responds:)

Most things happened on pool deck (WH party) or Dazzles Are the Bahamas a Spring Break kinda atmosphere or more like a Bermuda type of atmosphere. Oh yes :p

I was there in January (B2B) and there were lots of parties and lots of late nights on the 3 day...we had a great DJ when we were there and the parties would typically get shut down by security at 3:30- 4am. If January was any indication you and your friend should have a great time :)

whew, soooooo good to hear some positive input. haha. I have nothing against senior cruisers cuz i have met some really cool seniors on past cruises, but what would you say the average age group was on board? Ive been on princess and celebrity and they are usually much older crowds. But i have also been on carnival and that was not my favorite cruise, but very "young" and fun. Where would you say that NCL stands in regard to that? And even more specific, an NCL ship headed to the bahamas for a 3 night cruise.

LOL! I know that feeling on the positive input. 

The average age of the party crowd that you will find out partying, at pub crawl etc I'd say late 20's-early 30's. We had an overall age mix on the ship, some young couples with kids, some middle age, but few seniors on the 3 day. (And the middle age and senior couples would be the ones at the comedy shows, deal or no deal games etc, so you'd rarely see them and never at the late night parties) The party crowd was definitely young and fun, cocktails in hand and out looking for a good time! The crowd motto I heard used by several passengers was “Single and ready to mingle”

Well I do like what I am hearing. Haha. and i have done Senor Frogs before in San Juan and somewhere else that i cant remember and it was a good time. but i will only be in port in nassau from 8am til 5pm so ill probably miss all the good stuff at senor frogs.

This will be my best friends first cruise, hell it will be his first ever vacation, first flight, first everything. And he just ended a relationship on a bad note, so i kinda want this to be like "AMAZING" for him. But i guess only time will tell. I am just trying to figure out the most relaxing/crazy (oxymoron i know) things to do.

Check out Senor Frogs in Nassau - definitely Spring Break atmosphere and just a short stagger back to the ship...

Señor Frogs will be crazy busy, loud, lots of drinking, etc. They know the ships are only in during the day, so it's on. It's very close to the port, definitely stumbling distance.

Was on the Sky last month and really enjoyed the ship, spent a lot of time in the casino, but there seemed to be plenty of younger people on board having fun.

Enjoy!

Our goal will be to hopefully be by the pool, laying out and eating by day and mingling allll night. and we were gonna get an inside stateroom, but the difference between an inside stateroom and a balcony was only like 135 dollars so we HAD to upgrade.

From everything i am hearing, we should be A ok in regard to meeting people/women, and just having a blast so im SUPER optimistic. I have a feeling that we will end up at Senor Frogs at some point....why not ya know? lol
