Best beach in Ocho Rios?

Will be our first time in Ocho Rios. After reading some pretty horrid posts about Ocho Rios, we a leaning towards spending the day at one of the resorts. Keeping in mind that we will have a 11 and 9 year old with us, does anyone have some suggestions as to which resort to choose. I read that there is a resort with a nice beach and a waterslide for the kids. Any information on how to get a "day pass" and the best mode of transportation. Thank you.;)

We did Sandals Ocho Rios Oceanfront Resort several years ago through the cruiseline. Don't know if Sandals still offers the day pass, but we thoroughly enjoyed the day there. They took us over in a van, Open bar, good food and a beautiful pool. It was pricey, but worth the $$.
