Having read the recent 2013 Voyage Calendar I see that the 'Fine Wines' (sic) has given way to 'Select' Wines which means absolutely nothing but is more honest.

I was very disappointed by the Heidsieck Blue Top on the Christmas cruise finding it far inferior to the Drappier.

Every British supermarket is trying to shift tons of Blue Top cheaply which must say something!

But then again.

Was on The Shadow in 2010 and on several evenings the complimentary wines were mostly a disappointment. On one evening the wine waiter became a bit flustered as we rejected the second red wine offering and asked if he had a third for us to try. Over all we felt the complimentary wines on that cruise were inferior to previous Silversea cruises we've been on. I hope the wine standard has improved and is not just being covered up by changing the wording in the brochure.
