SpringTXcruiser Posted April 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Hi all!!! First time cruising, May 22, 2005 on Carnival Elation. My question is about the Sail & Sign Card. What will I actually be putting on it? I don't drink mixed drinks much at all, will get son a fountain card, have already paid for shore excursions, have also pre-paid my gratuities. I'm concerned because I only have one credit card with a low credit line and a MasterCard debit card, which I don't want to have frozen in case I need in on shore. Any suggestions or comments would be lovely!.... thanks, tina
Boo's Mom Posted April 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Tina... Anything that you might buy in any of the gift shops on the ship, any professional/candid photographs you might want to purchase, casino purchases, spa services, etc.... all go on your sign and sail card. Tips, too.
celbercrz333 Posted April 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2005 You might not use it at all.
Wennfred Posted April 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Things you may forget to bring like Sun block, or film for your camera etc.
sandylmc Posted April 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2005 You can put cash on your account for your S&S card -- that way you don't have to worry about using your credit or debit cards. I'll be putting some cash down, then I'll let any overflow ride on my credit card (unless there's cash leftover - yeah, right!).
serene56 Posted April 27, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2005 First thing when you get onboard a charge will be made to your sign and sail card for tips. Plus the fee for your sons soda card will be put on there. (soda is free for kids under 12 in the dining room only so you may want to think about that- soda cards wont be used in the camps either) Since you are taking your family on a cruise you may consider getting a family portrait taken. NO obligation and they turn out very good. Everything except the casino is signed for. Also- please let your bank know a month ahead of time that you will be out of the country- especaily if you have a low limit
