it's a great souvenir. I put a magnet on the back of mine and they are all on my fridge. Then I know when I took the cruise, because it has the date on it and the cabin number.

I collect magnets from different places I've traveled...your idea about the ship card is wonderful!

That is a great idea! Mine didn't have the date or cabin number on it. I remeber because I couldn't recall what room I was in and looked on the card and nothing!! LOL

We also make magnets out of ours. I've never had one with our cabin number, but it does have a picture of an NCL ship, the name, and sailing date -- I enjoy looking at them, and remembering, too!

We had to turn them in on our Majesty Cruise last year. I asked to keep it and they wouldn't let me :(

Just got back from NCL Sun, and we did get to keep our room cards. They do not have our room numbers on it, as NCL said this would be a security hazard in case the card got lost during the cruise (since the room card is also your sail and sign card connected to your credit card).

we were on the 3/27 Spirit. In the last day's daily, there is a notation that you may keep your key card. (she's a beautiful ship, btw)

Does each person in the room get a room card or is there just 1 per room?

Everybody gets their own card. They take a picture of you and it stays on the black strip on the back. When you leave and get back on ship they swipe it and make sure you are the correct person getting back on.

Thanks! That is a great idea! I too collect magnets as my sovenir when traveling....I was bummed when Pride of America didn't have any magnets specific to the ship....now I'll just use my room key!
