Shore Excursions Group (tour operator) feedback?

Has anyone used Shore Excursions Group, whose trips are also marketed through a major online cruise seller? If so, would you recommend them and what was your experience? They look appealing because they say they guarantee your return to the ship or they compensate you (expenses +$500). We are thinking of taking one of their private tours (Mangrove or East End/Garifuna) from NCL Spirit on 3/1. Thanks!

We just got back from cruising the Spirit and we booked a tour with Victor Bodden tours. You get a private tour for the whole day in a mini van for $90.00 plus driver tip(you decide). The driver will take you wherever you want to go and stay as long as you want and you decide when to get back. It was great to not be on a big bus with everyone else....and we dictated where we went. Out guide was wonderful and very good at answering all our questions as we drove the island. They dont ask for a deposit and are waiting for you whenever you get off the boat so no need to rush anything on that morning. We booked this online and I recommend this to you as well. boddentours.com Hope you had a great time like we did and even though they have a Wendys and Applebees please have your driver take you to a local spot for lunch....

Another option is Rony's Tours - HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. We booked our tour with them on Feb 14 and had a perfect day! They're prompt, professional, caring, and fun. Our driver was Steve and he took us to wonderful out of the way places, plus to the attractions we had chosen to see. And then had us back to the pier exactly as requested. They respond quickly to emails and follow up after your trip. They always get rave reviews and now we know why. Check out their website.

Just curious. What price is the tour operator you are asking about charging?

I see no one has answered your specific question. Could be most CC members have used this operator. We used Victor Bodden and couldn't have been happier. Plus, they are very experienced at getting people back to the ship on time. If they didnt their reputation would be ruined and they would be out of business

Chloedmom, the Mangrove and East End/Garifuna tours were only offered as private tours, for $72pp for two people.

We've booked with Island Marketing for their Garifuna, Mangrove, and Iguana Farm tour to be able to see a few different things, for $45pp (not private). I've read reviews of this and people seem to love it or hate it, so we're going with moderate expectations.

We did book with Shore Excursions Group for Mayan Experience in Costa Maya, and Cave Tubing in Belize. They're really just an intermediary, as Native Choice is doing the Mayan Experience, and Ecological Tours is doing the cave tubing.

We shall see!:)
